WHAT HAPPENED
Amer Mohammed Saada Rabee, a 14-year-old Palestinian-American from Saddle Brook, New Jersey, was shot dead by Israeli soldiers on April 6, 2025, at the edge of Turmus Ayya, north of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank; two other teenagers, including U.S. citizen Ayoub Jabara, were wounded in the same shooting. His family said the boys were picking green almonds, while the Israeli military said its soldiers fired at "three terrorists who hurled rocks toward the highway." The U.S. State Department offered condolences and acknowledged that Israel was investigating, and New Jersey Senators Cory Booker and Andy Kim called on the U.S. administration to investigate the killing.
